Mike joined to honor his grandfather — a Navy Seaman who patrolled the frozen Great Lakes during WWI, a man he never knew but whose quiet sacrifice shaped him.... Fourteen years later, Mike still shows up: Sergeant at Arms, Christmas Boat Parade for nine years running, and at the post every major holiday. That's what honoring a legacy looks like.
Lynn joined to honor his father — a Navy Engineer who ran landing craft into Omaha and Utah Beach during the Normandy invasion, pulling wounded men from the water before he was wounded himself.... He served from 1941 to 1945, and what he survived on those beaches never left his son. Today, Lynn carries that story forward every time he walks through the post doors.
