The national Sons of the American Legion was formed in 1932 as a program of the American Legion to involve Sons and Grandsons of Veterans in the great work being done by the American Legion.
SONS291, the Newport Harbor Squadron of the Sons of the American Legion was established in1934 to serve the community of Veterans in Newport Beach, CA. We are the largest Squadron in the world and believe that to whom much is given, much is required. We work hard to raise money and donate it to worthwhile smaller organizations that are doing great work towards our Veteran community, PTSD management, children, and education.
